Arun Community Engagement Project

Location:  Bersted Green Learning Centre (Bognor Regis)

Do you want to join our friendly established project team in to help our local communities recover from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic?  


Are you a self-motivated, energetic individual with a passion for improving the lives of residents and communities in Arun?


This project is an opportunity to be part of a new team dedicated to developing and supporting a community engagement approach to recovery that emphasises the participation and the voice of our local communities to improve health, wellbeing and increase resilience to harms such as exploitation. 


Its delivery is focused in two community areas within the District: Bersted in Bognor Regis and Courtwick with Toddington in Littlehampton. We are looking for someone to join our team to cover the Bognor area. 


The project is based on key principles of engaging and enabling our local communities and is ambitious in it’s desired aims and outcomes as outlined in the job descriptions.  Pivotal to this will be assertive outreach working with vulnerable groups and individuals to build trusted relationships with communities.   


The project is also embedded in a local partnership approach that recognises and values the contributions from numerous and diverse stakeholders including the community and voluntary sector, statutory and non-statutory organisations. 


This role is an externally funded fixed term contract with funding until 23 January 2024.
