Peer Worker

Our peers work with our customer to support customers on their individual recovery journey by supporting them to develop a sense of hope, confidence and accptance of their recovery. Peers share their personal experiences to support customers to develop their own recovery techniques. 

This role will be based in the Haringey Floating Support team. The floating support team provides sessional support to people across the borough who are living with mental health problems and need housing related support. The team supports people to develop the skills and confidence they need to have a more fulfilling and independent life. The service operates with staff members who work in the locality teams at St Ann’s hospital who provide brief intervention support with people and those who work in the community and provide longer term support with customers. The peer role would be working with those in the community side of the service.

We would expect peers to visit customers to support them to develop Wellness Plans and provide emotional support to individuals, showing empathy, sharing experience, and inspiring hope in line with the recovery model.

Please note that this is a part time 15 hour post.
