The Learning for Life Partnership along with the Principal at Wistaston Church Lane Academy are excited to be able to appoint a motivated, committed and highly effective teacher to join our hardworking and enthusiastic team to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate should have experience of teaching within Key Stage One. An understanding of Year Two SATs or the Year One Phonics check and how children are prepared for them is also favourable. A knowledge of the teaching of Phonics, preferably using Reading Planet Rocket Phonics, is desirable.
We have two positions available, both to cover maternity leave:
- Year Two teacher – 14th November 2022 to 31st August 2023
- Year One teacher – 21st November 2022 to 31st August 2023

For the right candidate there is a possibility of a Key Stage lead role which will include a TLR.
We are particularly looking for a teacher with a love of the teaching of reading, writing and maths and will fit in with the values and ethos of Church Lane colleagues. They are expected to consistently demonstrate high expectations of attainment, achievement and behaviour. They should be well-organised and highly motivated. They will have excellent communication skills and a commitment to continued professional development.
