We have an exciting opportunity available in West Berkshire Council’s Accounts Receivable Team, which involves collecting debts owed to the Council from our customers, whilst enhancing the customer experience.
We are looking for a finance professional who has previous debt recovery experience and is
- Proactive and organised
- Methodical with excellent numeracy skills
- Adaptable with the ability to work under pressure
In addition to this you will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and a willingness to collaborate with others to help introduce new innovative working methods and streamline existing processes.
You will have an aptitude and understanding of working with different financial systems and a logical and structured approach to problem solving.
You will be working as part of a small team so it is essential to be a good team player, be self-motivated and be able to motivate others as well as having the ability to maintain personal resilience in response to competing priorities.
The successful candidate will be provided with the training required to ensure that they are fully competent with West Berkshire policies and procedures and are able to assist the team in meeting set objectives and targets.
We are ideally looking to offer the successful candidate the full number of hours advertised above. We may however consider offering less hours than advertised providing they meet the requirements of the role and service which will be determined by the recruiting manager.
