About the role

We are looking to recruit an outstanding individual to join our Internal Audit team as a Principal Auditor.  You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of audit assignments.

The successful candidate will;

  • Have significant experience of Internal Audit delivering a wide range of audits;
  • Have a relevant professional qualification;
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Be an innovative thinker who can provide practical solutions to our clients;
  • Be self-motivated, driven and hardworking; and
  • Have a high degree of ethical integrity and personal resilience.

The Internal Audit Team provides assurance on risk, governance and control systems to Sefton Council.

In return we can offer a salary up to £43,570 per annum (pay award pending) via incremental progression, up to 32 days annual leave subject to length of service (after 5 years), access to the Local Government Pension Scheme, training and development opportunities and a supportive workplace culture that allows you to develop and grow.
