If so, we would love to hear from you.

About the role

Our councils are highly ambitious and want to see significant improvement for the wellbeing of our residents and communities. The creation of the Policy, Performance, Insight, Risk and Improvement Team is central to driving our improvement journey.

* development of external benchmarking against the outcomes and performance framework

* helping to develop, design and implement the corporate balanced scorecard for the Senior Leadership Team and Cabinets

* supporting corporate performance reporting

* helping to develop and maintain the councils’ key performance indicators.

About you

We are looking for someone who is passionate and driven by performance improvement.

You are likely to be educated to degree level in a business or performance-related discipline (or have gained equivalent knowledge through professional experience), with relevant work experience in performance improvement.

You will:

  • have gained experience of performance benchmarking and working with senior managers to identify business requirements for automated business intelligence reporting
  • demonstrate experience of developing data quality policy, standards and procedures as well as development of data asset registers.
  • have proven knowledge of the regulatory framework around people data and data protection in handling, storage and reporting which is essential as well as knowledge of building reports using Power BI.
