About the role

Would you like to help Brighton & Hove to be a welcoming place for newcomers, including those recently arrived from Ukraine? This post provides high quality administrative support to the refugee and migrant team within the diverse and friendly Communities, Equality and Third Sector Service of the city council. You will be used to responding quickly, efficiently and flexibly as new challenges arise, providing the back -office support which helps Brighton & Hove to be a City of Sanctuary. 

You will be passionate about helping newcomers feel welcomed in the UK and supporting them to flourish in Brighton & Hove. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of migrating to the UK.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

Work Permits: This role does not meet the requirement for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Successful candidates will need to evidence that they have the Right to Work in the UK.

Working arrangements are subject to Government guidance at the time. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team and travel to and from your contractual location would be at your own expense.
