Business Support Officer

About the role:

In this role you will work as part of a busy Early Help and Prevention Service, providing effective administrative support. Key tasks will be:

  • minute taking in meetings
  • updating trackers in regard to specific pieces of work
  • organising events for the service including booking services, venues
  • procurement of goods, ordering of specific items requested by family workers
  • booking training
  • arranging meetings and preparing agendas beforehand.

You will ensure we have effective administrative support across the working week, feeding back to line managers regularly about set tasks given and progress/any barriers to these.

About the candidate:

We are looking for someone who is experienced with using existing systems such as 1 business, experience with petty cash and completing end of year paperwork associated with this. Preferably someone who has already worked for Wirral Council and is familiar with systems used but this isn’t essential as full training will be provided. You need to be methodical, conscientious and hard working as well as accountable and have the ability to work autonomously.

We are recruiting for two positions one for 30 hours and one 36 hours. Both roles are fixed term for 12 months.
