West Berkshire Council along with local statutory and voluntary sector partners is playing a significant role in ensuring the effective implementation of the Homes for Ukraine Scheme where guests from Ukraine are hosted by local families. At the heart of that response is the Ukraine Support Hub which supports hosts and guests across a range of issues including arranging payments and conducting DBS checks to coordinating accommodation checks and welfare visits. The Hub also has as a range of signposting responsibilities and managing and updating vital data that government and other Council services and partners rely on.
We are now looking for three people with good organisational skills to join our Ukraine Hub where the role responding to questions coming into the Hub and providing advice and making appropriate referrals. The team also have responsibility for conducting DBS checks and updating records. The post-holder will also have access to sensitive data which will need updating on a regular basis.
Educated to A level or above you will preferably have experience of managing staff. You will have demonstrable understanding of the principles of customer service as well as the ability to manage busy workloads and effective decisions making. A good understanding of data protection, data security and confidentiality is essential.
