Arborist Team Leader

Public Realm are seeking an adaptable and self-motivated Arborist Team Leader to join our busy team within its Grounds Maintenance section within the Communities and Environment Directorate.

The successful candidate will report to the Public Realm Supervisors in Grounds Maintenance and will assist with managing the Councils arboricultural management maintenance operations of all its districts tree stock with responsibilities to lead a team in undertaking that all aspects of the arboricultural maintenance specification and work objectives are met.

Given our highly ambitious plans to enhance the environment, neighbourhoods and the wellbeing of our communities, there’s never been a better or more exciting time to join us in this important role within our Grounds Maintenance team at the City Council. This is a permanent position.

The successful candidate should have a passion for environmental management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should have good numeracy and literacy skills, proven ICT skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. You must be able to work effectively as part of a close team and cope well working within a frequently changing environment.

You should possess GCSE’s, grade C or above, in English and Maths (or equivalent). In addition, you must be competent in using Word and Excel. A full current UK driving licence is essential.

This post is permanent working 37 hours per week, based at White Lund Depot, Morecambe.
