About the role

We are looking for a full time Housing Officer (Care & Supported Housing) to be part of a team providing professional, customer focused housing management service to the Association`s general needs residents in rented accommodation.

The C&SH Housing Officer will be responsible for providing a highly professional customer focused housing management service to a small group of C&SH managed properties (for which the tenants receive no support from Hightown) in addition to supporting C&SHs frontline staff to provide housing management to their services user/tenants.

The duties will include:

  • Tenancy sign ups, tenancy monitoring and reviews
  • Taking appropriate action on breaches of tenancies
  • Working in conjunction with the frontline C&SH staff and Income Recovery team to ensure appropriate action is taken to deal with arrears of rent and charges, coordinating with the Voids Team to ensure prompt turnaround of C&SH voids to an agreed standard and supporting frontline staff to manage the voids and lettings processes and systems ensuring properties are let as quickly as possible to maximise income.

As part of your lead role, you will be expected to keep up to date with legislation, regulatory requirements and best practice in your key area as well as providing guidance to other team members when needed.

Due to the nature of the role you must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
