The successful candidate will have good management and communication skills, be positive and energetic for the children, be a strong leader and team player and be able to use their own initiative.

The children like their play workers to be happy, fun, creative, caring, kind and be able to provide exciting activities both indoors and outdoors.

Working hours will be Monday to Friday 7:30am to 9:00am, and Monday to Friday 3:00pm to 6.00pm. There will be an additional 2 ½ hours admin time paid (the timing for this can be agreed with the successful candidate). The post is 38 weeks term time only and would equate to 25 hours per week. This is a grade 6 SCP12 FTE £22,571.00 position pay is pro rata per annum and term time only. The role will involve working with children from Reception to Year Six. We would be willing to split this position and appoint a manager Monday to Friday 7:30am to 9:00am and a manager Monday to Friday 3:00pm to 6.00pm. Please let us know in your application.

Wheelock Primary School is committed to the protection and safety of its children therefore pre-employment checks will be completed, including obtaining two references and completing a DBS check before commencing employment.

We particularly welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, LGBTQ+ candidates and candidates with disabilities because we would like to increase the representation of these groups at The Learning for Life Partnership.
