1:1 Teaching Assistant

Crosby High School is a 168 place 11-16 school for pupils with moderate learning difficulties/complex learning difficulties and physical disabilities. We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and committed teaching assistant (level 2) with a proven record of academic support for children as well as an ability to offer quality care and support to children. Experience of primary practice and / or working with pupils with Special Educational Needs is desirable. 

We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant with strong communication skills who recognises that the role of the TA is strongly linked to removing barriers for learning for our pupils. We are looking for a teaching assistant who demonstrates a deep passion in relation to the education of pupils with Special Educational Needs as the focus of the school is firmly set on providing the very best education for every pupil. Some of our  pupils require help with personal care via assistance from another member of staff

The successful candidate will be employed specifically for an individual pupil and will work very closely with other class TAs. Training will be provided in support of this post. The post is reviewed on an annual basis and is linked to the child. The post will commence as soon as possible.
