At Crownfield Junior, we believe in working as a team for the children that we are responsible for and care for. We believe that our children are at the centre of all we do and we encourage and support them to be the best that they can be. We treat the children as individuals and understand that their needs are unique to them.

We are looking for someone new, someone like-minded, to join our well-motivated, happy team. We would like to appoint an enthusiastic, organised person who has experience in supporting students with particular needs, to enable them to fulfil their full potential within a school environment. Previous experience of working with young children, preferably KS2, is essential as is a good standard of Literacy and Numeracy.   This post is to support a child in Year 5.

Our Ofsted Report in June 2018 stated:

‘The school has a strong culture of care. Pupils are extremely polite and well behaved.  In lessons, they are engaged in their learning and listen to one another respectfully’.

We are lucky to be set in beautiful grounds. Our children are great to work with: polite, enthusiastic, hard working with a sense of fun!  We have a very stable staff who work together for the good of the children – they have a sense of humour too!  We are also currently expanding from a 3 form to a 4-form entry junior school.

The LSA would work under the direction of the Senior Management Team and the SENCo. At all times, the LSA will work within a Year Group and plan alongside them, reporting to the Head of Year on an agreed system of supervision and management.
