Closing Date: 9am Monday October 10th

At The Oak View Primary Academy, we are proud to deliver a rich creative learning experience that enables all children to fulfil their potential.

Our vision puts children first. When children enjoy all aspects of school and are enthusiastic, independent learners they gain the most from their education.

We believe this climate for success is delivered through the creation of an equal partnership between children, parents, and the school.

Are you an individual who can build on success, has a vision for teaching excellence and understands how important the right curriculum is to inspire children to learn? If so, Oak View Academy is the school for you!

We want our next Headteacher to see and create opportunities, think differently, innovate, and have kindness at the heart for all children. Our mission is to equip every pupil with all the necessary skills for their onward journey, having loved their time at Oak View.

The functions and specific responsibilities below are to be undertaken in conjunction with the duties of a Headteacher as defined in the Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.

Specific Responsibilities

The Headteacher will be a model professional, setting an excellent example to teaching and support staff. They will work in close partnership with the senior leadership team in actively and demonstrably promoting enrichment, entitlement and achievement through building and implementing agreed school policies. The headteacher will lead by example of their practice, and by positively encouraging and supporting all members of staff.  The Headteacher will work collaboratively with the senior leadership team to ensure that the school offers a high-quality, exciting, engaging, well-resourced, differentiated and well-matched curriculum for all children.

We focus on driving up standards and have experience of improving standards in education to provide the right learning environment for all children to achieve their full potential.

Oak View Academy joined NWAT in April 2014 and has worked collaboratively with NWAT to improve standards in education outcomes for children.

We are looking to appoint an outstanding Headteacher from January 2023.

If you are looking for a new challenge, we would be delighted to hear from you!
