We’re looking for someone who can work within the corporate Communications Team helping to create content and organise day-to-day channel management for Surrey Fire and Rescue Service, Military Covenant, Surrey Coroner's Service, and Surrey Prepared communications. Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, you will be working within a small team of four based at Woodhatch Place, Reigate.

You will support the Senior Communications Manager by playing a key role in the production of high-quality promotional material about a range of subjects, from preventing incidents in Surrey through to raising awareness of Military events.

You will be expected to travel across the county of Surrey to meet the demands of the role and therefore you will be able to work from any Surrey County Council or Fire and Rescue location. This is an agile position, however the team normally work in an office up to two times per week.

We’re looking for someone who will help us make a positive impact.

  • Draft and schedule social media for a military awareness day such as Remembrance Day
  • Check, monitor and prepare statistics on a recent campaign to be presented back by the team to the service
  • Review the overarching social media calendar for Surrey Fire and Rescue Service

To be shortlisted to interview for this position your application will clearly evidence:

  • Creativity
  • Strong willingness to work hard and learn
  • Team work
  • Knowledge of social media trends and themes, ideally within the fire and rescue industry.
