Senior Communications Officer

Are you an experienced comms professional who is passionate about creating content, coming up with new and innovative ideas to drive engagement and looking for a new challenge?

Then we want to hear from you.

Partnering with our Senior Recruitment Officers, with the support of a busy corporate communications team, you’ll come up with attention-grabbing marketing and comms materials that match the brief. We want you to create stand-out visuals and come up with new ways to attract potential candidates to our roles, all backed up with a solid understanding of what works in recruitment branding, and what makes people keep scrolling.

You’ll never be bored. The recruitment market is competitive; therefore, we need to attract the right people to the right roles meaning that we can better serve the residents of Hertfordshire. You could be working on anything from a campaign to recruit Social Workers or Lawyers, to developing our employer brand to showcase the great work our employees do. You’ll also be finding new ways to showcase why we are a great organisation to work for and looking for opportunities in wider communications activity to aid recruitment.

Our recruitment team is busy recruiting to over 1000 roles per year, so you will need to be able to adapt to the changing demands of the business, working on multiple projects at the same time.

We are looking for you to be an excellent communicator, proactive, curious, and bursting with ideas, ideally with experience of, or an interest in working within the jobs sector.  Diversity and Inclusion is part of our DNA; therefore, we want all marketing materials to reflect this.

Working within the corporate communications team you will have access to regular training and development opportunities through professional bodies such as the PRCA, LGA comms and Comms 2.0. In this senior communications role you will also have exposure to senior colleagues within the organisation and have the opportunity to expand knowledge and gravitas, working with an award winning communications team
