Casual Midday Assistant - Geoffrey Field Junior School

Casual basis – Term time only
To start as soon as possible.

Geoffrey Field Junior School (GFJS) is a well-established and popular school at the heart of the local community.

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic midday assistant to join our team to cover our busy lunchtime between 12:30pm – 1.45pm as and when required working a 1¼ hr shift. You will be given full training.

You must enjoy working with children, encourage pupils to engage in activities and help ensure that children’s lunchtimes are enjoyable and safe.

Our midday assistants are an essential part of our wider school community and play a key role in supporting the wellbeing of our pupils.

Flexibility is important as this position provides cover in the absence of other lunchtime controllers, often at short notice.

If you are interested in this vacancy, please contact Jeanette Winsor (School Business Manager) on 0118 937 5475 or email bursar@geoffreyfield-jun.reading.sch.uk to request an application pack.

Download job details and an application pack from our school website - https://www.geoffreyfieldjuniorschool.co.uk

Please do not send a CV, as for the purposes of equal opportunities we can only accept Reading Borough Council application forms.

Applications will be reviewed as received.
Closing Date: Sunday 2nd October 2022
Interviews: To be confirmed

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will be sought from the successful candidate.
