Business Support Assistant x 3 posts

The Business Support Service provide efficient administrative and financial support to various teams across the Council, working flexibly as required to assist the services supported in meeting their objectives and priorities.

We are looking to recruit administration assistants to join our Business Support Team.

Post 1: Business Support Assistant- Licencing 36 hours per week Monday – Friday - office based- Fixed term until March 2023.

The Knowsley licensing Team process and issue licences and permits in line with the Licensing Act 2003, the Gambling Act 2005.

The post holder will support a team of Licencing Officers and will be responsible for processing licence applications, updating systems/records, processing payments, and dealing with enquiries and undertaking any other general administration duties as required.


Post 2: Business Support Assistant - Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub - 36 hours Monday - Friday. Working both from home and office based. Fixed term until March 2023.

The MASH provides a ‘first point of contact’ for Early Help,  Children’s Social Care and Adults Social Care.

The post holder will support Social Workers working closely with other professionals who have contact with children and adults who may be at risk of harm or neglect.

You will be responsible for note taking at statutory and professional meetings held between third party agencies and at times family members, updating and maintaining records and sharing sensitive and confidential information between agencies .

Previous experience of note taking is essential.


Post 3: Business Support Receptionist – Nutgrove Villa Huyton 20 hours Monday – Friday 9:00pm-1:00pm office based. Fixed Term until March 2023.

Nutgrove Villa houses a wide range of services including Children Social Care, Multi Agency Safeguarding and Youth Offending Service.

The post holder will work as part of a team responsible for meeting and greeting visitors to the building, processing room bookings, dealing with internal and external enquiries and to undertake any other general administration duties as required.

The ideal candidate would have experience of working within an administration environment  with a working knowledge of Microsoft packages together with excellent communication skills with the ability to prioritise competing workloads to meet challenging deadlines.

The ability to deal with matters of a sensitive nature is an essential part of the role.
