This post will be based in the Brokerage Accommodation Team, with responsibility for Children Looked After / SEN (Special Educational Needs) placements.
The responsibilities of this post have arisen out of the need for the specialist commissioning / brokerage of bespoke placements for SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) children. The procurement of special schools has become more complex and the quality monitoring of those schools and integrated working with CLA (Child Looked After) brokerage services is required to ensure timely and well-matched placements are made for children. This will support the need for best value and better outcomes for children. The post holder will need to have specialist skills in understanding the SEND market for schools but also be able to integrate the pathways for SEND children who are looked after to ensure joined up approaches to placement finding are meeting service outcomes. You will need to be a proactive , dynamic worker who can navigate complex systems to get the best outcome for the child.
