The Family Safeguarding Model (FSM) Team is central to Children's Social Care. It supports children across the spectrum of our work with children and families from Child in Need through Child Protection and Children in Care. The team are always busy and need to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.

The administrative staff are essential in providing the support the team need to protect our children. The admin staff share a range of tasks. Cooperation, communication and coordination are vital to ensure all tasks are covered.

Bracknell Forest Children's Social Care has consistently achieved very good outcomes in OFSTED inspections over many years including the most recent in June 2022 thanks to the dedication of our staff and because we are Bracknell Forest.

What it's like working in our team...

The four administrative staff in the FSM Team work closely together to provide the support needed for the team to work effectively. Effective communication, a collaborative mindset and a drive to support each other is key. This is an administrative role that really makes a difference.

You will be supported to carry out the following duties, responsibilities and training...

Be an effective minute taker covering a range of different meeting formats involving staff from the department, other involved organisations and our families.

Using Outlook and Excel to organise a high volume of meetings, often having to react to short notice changes.

Process information in our dedicated database to ensure our records are always up to date.

Support the social work staff by producing client reports.

Complete a range of administrative tasks including the ordering of goods and services, processing new starters, providing information for legal staff to name but a few.
