CLERK TO GOVERNORS

We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Clerk to the Governing Body who 
is able to work to deadlines but also demonstrate a flexible approach to working hours. The 
successful candidate will; display resilience and initiative, be organised and efficient, 
understand the need for confidentiality, be tactful and reliable, whilst proving proactive in 
the co-ordination of information for Governors regarding local and National policy.

Governing Body meetings are held 6 times per year on a weekday morning. The role will 
include the preparation and circulation of agendas, minutes and associated paperwork, 
which requires strong IT and communication skills.
Abbey Court caters for pupils aged 3-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties, and is currently 
located on 2 Strood sites; Cliffe Road (Nursery & Primary) and Rede Court Road 
(Secondary & Further Education). The Primary site is also home to our brand new school 
farm!

The role is to commence as soon as possible and it is anticipated will be for 36 hours per 
annum. Experience preferred but not essential.
