Appointment of Teaching Assistant Level One to work in the Early Years Foundation Stage at The Grange Primary School
The Governors are seeking to make a Teaching Assistant (TA1) appointment that will commence as soon as possible.
Our school is highly unusual in that it features a one-form-entry mainstream nursery and primary school and six Special Educational Needs Unit classes for approximately 60 children with SEN. We are one of the DfE and Sefton Council’s registered provisions for children with speech and language difficulty, autistic spectrum condition and children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. We are proud of the very inclusive nature of our school.
The successful applicant will have experience in supporting learning and development in the EYFS in a school.
The successful applicant will work in the school’s Nursery.
Hours: 27.5 hours per week, five days per week, 9.00 a.m. – 3.00 p.m.
Contract: Initially six months (i.e. until 31st March 2023) but it is possible that the contract could be extended.
The position has arisen as the school has received funding to support a new pupil on a one-to-one basis. The practice at the school is not to assign a TA to work exclusively with a single child but to ensure that the stipulations of the one-to-one funding are fully met using a team approach of all the staff in the Nursery.
Potential candidates are welcome to visit the school. Please call Tracey Cartledge (School Business Manager) who will inform you of the various times that the Headteacher has identified to meet with potential applicants.
Interviews: Thursday 6th October 2022
