We are looking to appoint 2 Quality Officers to join the Quality & Safeguarding Adults Team (SAT).
The Safeguarding Adults Team is responsible for ensuring that agencies who provide services to people who need support are doing so safely, with dignity and promoting the person’s independence and autonomy.

The Quality Officers are new exciting new roles in the Safeguarding Team and will support this element of the SAT’s work by; developing relationships with provider services, monitoring those services to evaluate their effectiveness and provide support to develop and maintain best practice.
The Quality Officers will play a key role in recognising when a service is not meeting the standards expected of them and, working within a multi-agency strategy group, support a comprehensive response by the Local Authority.

About the Role
We are looking for candidates who have previous experience working with people with support needs or who have transferable skills and experience.
You must be able to demonstrate:
- Knowledge of social care
- excellent communication skills
- ability to gather and analyse information
- ability to identify and prioritise risks
- ability to identify and prioritise safeguarding issues
- excellent organisational skills and flexibility
- excellent IT and typing skills
- excellent teamwork skills.

Flexible/Hybrid working – you will be able to work from home or at the Civic Offices. You will be required to travel around Reading from time to time as you will need to do face to face visits. You may occasionally be required to work with providers commissioned outside of the Reading area.
