About the role:
Wirral Council Lifelong Learning Service is looking to develop a range of innovative FAMILY LEARNING courses for adult learners in different settings and areas that will lead to progression and qualifications.
The role involves teaching adults (19+) in community settings across the borough.
The primary aim of this role is to enable adults, parents and carers to gain skills and qualifications in literacy through a family learning approach that will help them develop personally and enable them to support their child to read.
All courses to be developed and offered will be from Entry to level 1 and 2 only
About the candidate:
Candidates MUST have a nationally recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, PTTLLs, or equivalent).
Candidates should have experience of teaching adults and writing customised programmes that offer structured and sequential programmes that enable learners to progress. Equally, candidates should have experience of delivering introductory qualifications in their chosen fields.
Wirral Lifelong Learning Service is a primary Liverpool City Region Adult education provider and is subject to ALL Ofsted regulations and requirements. All Lifelong learning tutors must adhere to Ofsted and LCR criteria for teaching adults. We will work with you to make you fully conversant with all contemporary developments in this teaching sector.
The post will be fixed term initially for 2 years. The salary will be in the pay band £25,927 to £29,174.
