About the role:
Wirral Council Lifelong Learning Service is looking to develop a range of exciting and dynamic courses for adult learners in the curriculum area of maths as part of the Governments new MULTIPLY Programme.
The Multiply Programme will include engagement, progression and entry level qualifications.
The role involves teaching adults (19+) in community settings across the borough.
The primary aim of the service is to enable adults to gain skills and qualifications in Maths that will help them move towards employment and develop personally.
All courses to be developed and offered will be from Entry to level 1 and 2 only.
About the candidate:
Candidates MUST have a nationally recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, PTTLLs, or equivalent).
Candidates should have experience of teaching adults and writing customised programmes that offer structured and sequential programmes that enable learners to progress. Equally, candidates should have experience of delivering introductory qualifications in their chosen fields.
Wirral Lifelong Learning Service is a primary Liverpool City Region Adult education provider and is subject to ALL Ofsted regulations and requirements. All Lifelong learning tutors must adhere to Ofsted and LCR criteria for teaching adults. We will work with you to make you fully conversant with all contemporary developments in this teaching sector.
The post will be fixed term initially for 2 years. The salary will be in the pay band £25,927 to £29,174.
