Waste Services Manager

Rutland County Council are looking for a new Waste Services Manager to manage the delivery of excellent Waste Management services to its residents. This is an exciting role that empowers the postholder to work closely with the Principal Operations Manager and work on projects that truly make a difference to Rutland.

Do you have experience of working in Environmental Services and Waste Management? Are you able to develop and motivate high performing teams? Do you thrive in environments that allow you to take a lead on complex and exciting projects? If you answered yes to these questions, the Waste Services Manager is for you.

About you…

  • Experience of working in Environmental Services and Waste Management
  • Can-do attitude who can lead, develop and motivate a team
  • Good project management skills
  • Ability to manage complex budgets and undertake data analysis to report exceptions and trends

About the role…

  • Maintaining the effective and high-quality delivery of waste management services and functions to the residents of Rutland
  • Supporting the Principal Operations Manager in the development and maintenance of progressive and viable Rutland strategies for waste management and environmental functions
  • Monitoring and producing performance reports
  • Raising awareness, knowledge and understanding of waste and recycling services within the Rutland community
  • Financial budget management and procurement

The Waste Services Manager interviews will be held on w/c 7th November. Please be advised this could be subject to change, in which case we will give appropriate notice.
