The starting salary for this role is £26,080 per annum based on working 36 hours per week.
A great opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and ambitious individuals to join our Financial Assessments & Income Collection service. You will be the first point of contact and source of information for Surrey residents on how the council charges for care and support services. Assessment & Income Assistants will be co-located with Adult Social Care and finance staff in various settings across the county, and location preferences can be discussed at interview.
These are critical roles at the forefront of the service. You will be required to explain the paying for care process, support residents to use the council’s online financial assessment and payment tools and to actively identify barriers to residents making regular payments of social care charges. You will be required to co-ordinate visits for officers where necessary, answer general telephone and email enquiries and allocate more complex casework where necessary.
With the upcoming social care charging reforms this is an exciting time to join Adult Social Care, as we strive to enable residents to self-serve using online tools and this is a great opportunity for someone with a high level of customer service to join us on this journey.
