About the role:

As a member of our Strategic Change team, you'll be part of a multi-disciplinary team that leads transformation work with our services across the borough. As a Project Manager you will really be at the centre of getting change right for Wirral.  So, if you are a passionate, action-driven, and forward-thinking individual who can support us on our ambitious change journey then this role may be for you.

You will deliver projects as part of a change programme, with an ability to take responsibility for tasks and deliver results using sound knowledge and experience. You will apply structured project management methodology including risk and issue management and escalation, budget management, providing assurance and reporting to Project Board, etc.

About the candidate:

We are looking for project professionals who have the ability to work within, and create structured project environment; as well as having the confidence to flex and adapt styles and approaches to achieve the very best outcomes for our residents in what can sometimes be ambiguous and evolving conditions. We are looking for someone with significant experience in project management, with a demonstrable track record of influencing diverse stakeholder groups at all levels of the organisation.

In this role we need you to have:

  • Knowledge and experience of various project management methodologies and ability to flex and adapt them as is appropriate to the individual circumstances.
  • Sound ICT skills with ability to use software tools for scheduling, resource management, reporting, analysis and communication.
  • Strong ability to quickly identify, understand and resolve issues and risks in a structured and defined project environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills.
  • Strong and effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate others.
  • Flexible, organised, solution focused with good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Effective time management with the ability to work to tight deadlines, balance conflicting priorities and manage own workload.
  • Highly motivated and capable of motivating and supporting others in the project team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, sound emotional intelligence with the ability to thrive in.

There are three full-time roles available, two are permanent and one is fixed term for up to 2 years.

Interviews will take place week commencing 17th October 2022.
