These roles are to support the initial stages of procuring an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, with the view to replace our current Finance and HR Systems. 

Fixed term for: 6 months

This role is available as a secondment to internal applicants in line with our secondment policy.

About the role

As part of our high volume, fast paced, transactional finance team, you will be supporting a range of processes and play a part in moving the service forward as we embrace new technologies and ways of working.

Can you communicate effectively with a diverse group of internal and external customers? Can you prioritise tasks and work accurately under pressure and within prescribed deadlines? Do you like a challenge and are you a keen problem solver? 

If so, we think you might be a suitable candidate for joining our transactional finance teams as a Senior Officer.

We use the council’s core Financial Systems – Civica Financials, Purchasing and CivicaPay and are looking for a forward-thinking individual to work with us in keeping operational performance at a high standard, developing efficient processes, and ensuring data is accurate and consistently maintained. 

Any business process mapping or process improvement skills or knowledge would be an advantage, especially with transactional finance environments, and if you have transferable skills from your current, or previous roles, we'd love to hear from you. 

The role is based within a dynamic team and will require attention to detail and a ‘can-do’ attitude. Excellent communication skills are a must. You’ll be supported by friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced colleagues to be a success in the role. We’ll offer you on the job training, to get you up to speed on our systems, processes and procedures.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
