The Aspire Learning Federation was established in March 2022 between Elm Park Primary School and The RJ Mitchell Primary School. Both schools have a highly inclusive philosophy. We set high expectations for all our pupils and provide high quality pastoral care and support for our most vulnerable pupils. Anyone applying for this post will be employed by the Aspire Learning Federation and may therefore be required to work across both schools. In the first instance, this post is to work at The R J Mitchell primary School.

We are looking to appoint an able individual as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant. The post holder will provide efficient and professional support in delivering teaching and learning across a variety of year groups.

The role complements the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short term both planned and unplanned for whole classes and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupil’s achievement, progress and development.

The role requires someone who is confident in covering classes across a variety of year groups, has energy, enthusiasm, a calm manner, the ability to prioritise, a flexible working approach and proven teaching experience.

S/he will be approachable, have sound people skills, strong written and verbal communication together with a 'can do' attitude. Experience of using Google and interactive online programmes is useful.

Please see a copy of the job profile for further details regarding the role and responsibilities of the job.
