Adult Carer Support Adviser

At Carers First, we understand that caring can be hard, but believe getting the right help shouldn’t be. We work directly with and for, unpaid carers to provide personalised information, advice and support. Making it easier for those caring for someone else to continue living their lives to the fullest.

We are currently seeking an Adult Carer Support Adviser to join our team in Medway. The requirements of the role will include, managing conversations with carers to identify needs with assessments and support plans; providing advice and wellbeing support; running support groups and activities; working with community groups and partnership working to identify Carers in Medway. 

To be successful you will have experience of working with adults either in a 1-1 or group setting, a working knowledge of health and social care particularly in relation to adults and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A high standard of written skills is needed, in order to help the Carer identify their support needs and build resilience. 

The location for the position is flexible but candidates must be willing to work out of one of Carers First’s main offices.
