North Somerset Adult Social Services are looking for someone to take on this exciting role supporting workforce development within the independent social care market in North Somerset. Working under the new Learning and Development Officer in the Contracts and Commissioning team, the successful candidate would be expected to lead on a number of new initiatives and represent North Somerset as part of the existing Proud to Care project group that spans Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.


We require someone who is creative, enthusiastic and proactive in their approach to the role. You will be required to work autonomously and take decisions, escalating where appropriate. Understanding of the social care sector is essential as is experience of undertaking projects.


You will have excellent communication skills, a commitment to improving services with an ability to motivate others.


You will be home, and office based as needed, including a range of provider service locations across North Somerset.
