The starting salary for this position is £32,173 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.
This role supports an agile way of working, comprising of working from any of our Surrey Fire and Rescue Service locations and working from home. Our main office base is Woodhatch Place in Reigate however, travel around the county will be required as we are a multi-site service.

As a Recruitment Officer, you will provide information to managers concerning a range of recruitment, HR and OD issues. You will have in-depth knowledge of systems and procedures across OD and recruitment processes, ensuring an efficient and reliable service is delivered.
The role will be influenced heavily by different areas of recruitment, with the opportunity to get exposure in a wide range of project work. The role supports the wider people strategy agenda including improving culture, values and behaviours, leadership and management, diversity and inclusion, and performance and talent. You will work closely with the People and OD Team and EDI Partners to support internal and external projects, including positive action work and internal and external recruitment campaigns.
You will have the confidence to work collaboratively on projects involving people management practices, and will create and maintain strong relationships with applicants, centralised recruitment and HR teams in Surrey County Council as well as within the immediate People and OD team at Surrey Fire and Rescue Service.
