Public Realm are seeking an adaptable and self-motivated Asset Management Officer to join our busy team in the Public Realm section within the Communities and Environment Directorate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all City Council owned street furniture, including amenity street lighting, floodlighting, bus shelters, street nameplates, seats, and car parks including pay and display machines.

The successful candidate should have knowledge of street furniture maintenance, repair schedules and inventories also have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. You should have good numeracy and literacy skills, proven ICT skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. You must be able to work effectively unsupervised and use own initiative with a hands on approach in dealing with any problems.
You should possess minimum 5 GCSE’s – A-C, including English and Maths. In addition, you must have understanding of budget management and competent in using Word and Excel. A full current UK driving licence is essential.
This post is permanent working 37 hours per week, based at White Lund Depot, Morecambe.
