Programme Support Officer

Help us to transform how residents interact with Lewes and Eastbourne councils and how staff can make use of the best technology to provide key services, all while working from home.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an additional Programme Support Officer to support the councils on their transformation journey.

You will work across several varied projects within the council’s transformation programme, supporting Project Managers/Assistant Managers and Service Design colleagues as part of the Business Transformation Unit.  The transformation programme is delivering projects designed to make people’s experience of dealing with the councils quicker, easier, and better through using new and existing technology to enhance customer service.  The Programme Support Officer role will also work with a wide range of internal and external partners to help realise the councils’ transformation ambitions.

Key duties will include:

  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans
  • Organising, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings
  • Preparing for project meetings
  • Managing project resource
  • Assessing project risks and issues where applicable
  • Documenting and progressing actions and decisions
  • Ensuring project deadlines are met
