Tenancy Assistant

22.2 hours per week Monday - Wednesday

We are recruiting for a part - time Tenancy Assistant to join our team. In this role you will provide a frontline, high-quality and innovative housing service for our tenants.

You will be part of the Council’s specialist housing team working across the district to ensure all tenancy related enquiries are appropriately investigated, considered, and resolved, along with positively promoting effective tenancy management, sustainment, and involvement.

You will be a caring and compassionate individual who wants to make a difference to the lives of our tenants across Newark and Sherwood. You will have experience working in social housing or a similar environment along with dealing with members of the public; you will also have experience of inter-agency relationships and hold a CIH level 3 qualification or equivalent in an appropriate discipline or have a willingness to undertake a relevant qualification.

You will need a full valid driving licence and have access to a car as you may be required to work from other sites from time to time and attend meetings as well as work across your area of responsibility.  The Council requires the post holders to work flexibly in this role to achieve positive outcomes for our tenants and the organisation in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
