We are looking to recruit 2 full time Activity and Wellbeing Coordinators at Willows Edge Care Home in Central Newbury.

Willows Edge is home to frail elderly residents, some with dementia, physical disabilities and challenging behaviour, for which we aim to offer a friendly, safe and secure environment. We believe our residents have choices about their care, and we promote independence as much as possible. We aim to offer social and emotional support to our residents in order to meet their individual needs.
We are looking for people who are fun-loving, kind, patient, caring, and reliable who want to help our resident’s to look forward to their days at Willows Edge by delivering a range of activities that meet their views and wishes.

We also offer the opportunity for staff to undertake recognised professional qualifications in the field of Wellbeing and Activities plus a range of other training opportunities.
You are required to work a 37 hour week – usually a 7.5 hour day although there may be some flexibility around how those hours are worked. Ideally we would like to be able to provide some activities at weekends and you would therefore need to share that with the other Activities staff member. We would prefer candidates with some knowledge, skills and genuine interest. We would be willing to train the right applicant to advance those attributes.
All applicants will complete a full induction and training.
