Clerical Officer

Are you looking for a rewarding, interesting part-time clerical post

We are looking for Clerical Officers to work on reception at Kingsway and Halton Lodge Children Centres.  The posts will support a team of dedicated Early Help colleagues working with families experiencing a range of issues.  They will work with the team to promote the centre and the range of support available.

Salary (range):   £20,812 - £21,189 pro rata

 Working Pattern:  The posts are Monday to Friday with set shifts.  For Kingsway one post is each morning 8.45 a.m. to 1.05 pm., the other each afternoon 12.55 p.m. to 5.15 p.m.  For Halton Lodge Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 8.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m., Wednesday/Friday 12.15 to 5.15 p.m.

Hours:  2 posts 21.5 hours per week (Kingsway), 1 post 25 hours per week (Halton Lodge)

Location: Kingsway Children’s Centre, Widnes & Halton Lodge Children’s centre, Runcorn

 To work on these busy reception areas you must have good communication skills and a professional and helpful manner with families, colleagues and other professionals.  You will be hard working, flexible to adapt to the changing needs of the service, able to work on your own initiative, and be committed to working as part of a team.

You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of general office tasks, have IT experience, knowledge of Microsoft Office products and be able to work to deadlines.  Ideally you will be educated to GCSE standard Grade C or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English, and have an awareness of maintaining confidentiality in the workplace.

 Colleagues must be willing and flexible to provide support for teams within the borough as and when necessary, which may require travel between sites cross Runcorn and Widnes.

Please note that if you need to cross the Mersey Gateway Bridge on your journey to and from work, you may be liable to pay the appropriate tolls.
