North Somerset Council has an ambitious and wide-ranging programme of urban regeneration and transport improvement schemes from traffic calming to multi-million pound new roads, and from EV charging infrastructure to developing “mini-Holland” schemes to make our streets more friendly. To support these aspirations the council’s highway design teams, seek a Technician or Engineer to work in a small project team under the guidance of a Principal Engineer in delivering the Councils priorities.

Depending on the level of experience, the successful post holder will design and implement their own highway improvement schemes and work with other team members to deliver our larger projects.  They may also give day to day support and guidance to less experienced team members.  This post will be eligible for flexible working and has a generous leave allowance.
