Traffic Management & Maintenance Team 

Fixed Term Contract – 12 – 18 months 

Full time – 37 hours per week 

Salary £11,706 per annum

The council Value the development of its Staff, this role offers the opportunity for the right person to undertake a Property Maintenance Apprenticeship. The role will provide day release to college to learn both the practical and theory for trade skills including carpentry, plumbing and electrics   

In this varied role, you will be supporting the team in delivering a high-quality service to customers both externally and internally, and undertake a wide range of maintenance tasks across the borough such as repairs to council owned property both buildings and infrastructure. On occasion you may assist in the setting up and packing down the council operated weekly markets and our monthly craft fayres 

The team also support a number of council events throughout the year including, council elections, parades and public events.   

We also offer additional training in the specific skills needed to undertake this work, abrasive wheel, New Roads and Street works and CSCS
