We are now recruiting for a qualified joiner to join our Compliance and Safety Team in the newly created role of Fire Safety Technician. In this role, you will undertake skilled maintenance operations, fire door safety inspections and repairs in the Council’s High Risk Residential Buildings (HRRB) and communal areas of properties.
Working with a dedicated and experienced team, your duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Undertaking the ongoing process of fire door inspections and repairs
- Assisting Compliance surveyors with surveying of properties for works
- Keeping Compliance Surveyors updated with any issues that prevent completion of works on time or any possible future needs
- Undertaking multi-skilled operations to support other trade staff
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in a Joinery role along with general building maintenance, inspection and testing along with a Level 2 or above, or equivalent, in Joinery or Wood Occupations. You will also have good organisational skills, the ability to meet time critical targets and be able to communicate effectively whilst delivering excellent customer services.
