Corporate Accountant

Horsham District Council are looking for a Corporate Accountant to join our dynamic Finance and Performance department. Working closely with the Head of Finance and Performance you will support the Council with corporate finance issues, including budget setting and preparation of the financial statements.

As Corporate Accountant you will lead with the preparation of the Councils Annual Statement of Accounts and be the first point of contact for enquiries from the external auditors. You will provide advice to Members and Officers during the budget process, analysing the implications of corporate budget decisions upon revenue accounts. Working flexibly across the department you will be involved in managing a team of financial accountants, finance assistants and trainees.

To succeed as Corporate Accountant, you will be a fully qualified finance professional with experience of analysing and providing advice / guidance on finance issues, accounting policies, regulations, and practices.
