You must be an effective communicator and confident negotiator in order to deliver extremely challenging rent collection targets. You will be responsible for maximisation of income collection and arrears reduction on a diverse caseload.

Previous experience of working with the public in a similar capacity is essential as is a good working knowledge of database systems and account management, and welfare benefits and debt advice services, preferably within a housing setting.

Previous applicants need not apply.

This post is 37 hours per week working Monday, to Friday and is hybrid working primarily based at the council’s offices at Palatine Hall, Lancaster. This post is temporary until November 2023.

We are a Forces Friendly employer, and an Armed Forces Covenant committed organisation. We welcome applications from defence reserves and other members of our armed forces community.

For internal applicants, this role will be considered for a secondment opportunity. The secondment of an employee from another Service can only take place with the agreement of the Manager of the Service the applicant is contracted to. When this role comes to an end, the successful internal applicant will return to their substantive role.

Please note that due to the volume of applications we receive we are unable to update all applicants individually. If you do not receive a response from us within 2 weeks of the closing date then your application will have unfortunately been unsuccessful in progressing to interview.
