Starting Salary: £48,923 with the opportunity to progress to a maximum of £54,145 (pro rata for part-time)
Hours: 37 per week

In line with our practice model Connected Lives Hertfordshire is investing in prevention and enablement. Occupational Therapists will be key if we are to be successful.

We already have a successful team of Enablement Occupational Therapists working in a specialist service to assess people and devise personalised enabling interventions in order that people are able to live the lives of their choosing. We will be expanding the team and are looking to recruit an inspirational occupational therapist to lead the team and develop the service.

To inspire, lead, manage and nurture a team of Enablement Occupational Therapists that can operate innovatively and creatively in order to meet the needs of people living in Hertfordshire.

To be accountable for the effective professional and strategic work of our Enablement Occupational Therapy service

In managing this team, the Team Manager is responsible for ensuring the service provided is effective, efficient and delivers positive outcomes. Driving the performance of the collective team and individuals is an integral part of the role, as too is the effective management of resources and assurance of quality.

The Team Manager will undertake the day-to-day management of the Enablement Occupational Therapy Service, with the support of two deputy team managers, triage referrals and be the main point of contact for partner organisations in particular the Discharge to Assess Manager

To undertake the professional supervision of Enablement Occupational Therapists

The Team Manager will lead the development of the vision for occupational therapy at the front door to social care and embedding this in the new 12-week preventative and enabling pathway and contribute to the development and innovation of the service working in partnership with colleagues and partner organisations.

An occupational therapist registered with the HCPC with leadership and management experience is required for the role.

Whilst all occupational therapists are enabling this role and the team utilise wide occupational therapy skills and interventions promoting enablement and reablement. This is an exciting and rarely available opportunity to develop a specialist occupational therapy service within social care that recognises the unique skills occupational therapists have to offer.
