Major Works Project Manager


Assets and Sustainability has an exciting opportunity for a Major Work Project Manager to join our Compliance & Energy team. The primary focus of the role will be project managing a rolling programme of improvements to our heat networks that delivering heat services to around 8,500 households. The role will also have oversight of the other major works programmes in the team such as lift modernisation and upgrades and boiler installations.

To support the delivery of these key programmes, we are looking for a project manager with excellent engagement and communication skills, who feels as passionately as we do about resident experience and ensuring high quality service. This role is diverse and varied, providing management through various stages of programmes and projects.

Main Responsibilities

You'll manage a programme of works within the compliance team to deliver a high quality service on time and to budget, developing a good understanding of the profile of NHG's properties with heat networks, working closely alongside consultants to enable them to prepare designs for major works. Ensuring contractors are compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements, you'll build strong relationships with contractors and internal colleagues in the compliance team.

Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will need to have project management experience in the built environment, be a strong communicator and confident using different technology systems. People skills, an ability to build partnerships and an innovative mind are all important attributes for the role. Having previous experience of delivering projects with heat networks would be an advantage but isn't a prerequisite.

This position will suit those looking to further their careers in Assets and Sustainability. You'll spend your time at our London Head Office in Kings Cross and other locations as necessary to get the job done. A willingness to travel and be flexible is vital.
