Do you have excellent copy-writing skills? Would you like to help showcase our work to improve the look and feel of the city, cut down waste and manage the city’s parks and open spaces?

A 6-month fixed-term opportunity is available in the council’s busy Communications Team, supporting the City Environmental Management service and the Housing, Neighbourhoods & Communities directorate.

About the role

As part of the communications team, you’ll be working with services to source and deliver engaging communications across a range of news, marketing and digital channels highlighting the council’s work to support the city.

You’ll also be covering the council’s corporate social media channels, pitching news stories and responding to media enquiries. You’ll work with other members of the team, from graphic design to digital design, to devise and deliver creative and engaging campaigns.

We’re looking for a creative and dynamic person with the ability to write engaging and accessible copy, ideally with experience writing across media, marketing and digital channels.

It’s a potential development opportunity for someone with the knowledge and skills to gain experience working in a busy communications service.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
