This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, dedicated team working on the highly topical areas of energy efficiency, carbon reduction and renewable energy generation.
West Berkshire Council declared a climate emergency in 2019 and are committed to delivering a reduction in carbon footprint through a variety of projects and actions and seeking to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. As a key member of the Energy & Carbon Team, you will be involved in a range of exciting projects working towards this goal. You will be able to lead key projects (such as implementing renewable energy generation) and have an influence on other major capital projects being delivered across Council departments.
The successful candidate will be welcomed into the wider Environment Delivery Team where there is excellent cross-team working and great links with others across the Council.
Shortlisting for the role will take place soon after the advert closes. However, interview dates are negotiable and can take place either side of Christmas.
