Our vision for this role
We’re looking for the right person to lead our Estate Services Team into the future, delivering a high performing, value for money, modern and innovative service.
What you’ll do
This is a rewarding and exciting position – responsible for leading a team of 30 staff, managing the in-house Caretaking & cleaning team, Pest control service and refuse collection services.You will also be responsible for contract managing our grounds maintenance, window cleaning and tree maintenance programme.
You will know from experience in either a social housing or private sector how to lead a direct labour workforce, whilst delivering an excellent customer focused service. You will also be able to use your commercial skills to develop future opportunities in a sustainable way.

What you'll need:
A motivational approach
Strong people management skills are highly important; you’ll need to demonstrate your experience of managing a team.
Relationship building skills
We work with many contractors and external stakeholders, strong stakeholder management and contract management skills are a must have for this role.
We operate at a high level; you’ll need to demonstrate a track record in delivering high performance and outcomes.
A strategic brain
We move things forward and get things done; you’ll need experience of developing action plans and delivering strategies.
Confident writing skills
You’ll need to be a confident communicator across all channels but, specifically, you’ll need experience of producing written reports for a variety of audiences.
