Grade 7, £33,820 up to £38,296 per annum pro rata
37 hours per week (Fixed term to March 2025)

An exciting opportunity has arisen following an internal promotion to join us as a Senior Economic Regeneration Officer. The post, within the Major Projects team, will promote and manage economic development and regeneration initiatives within the borough. Implementing the Council’s Economic Regeneration Strategy and supporting the physical regeneration of the borough will be your main responsibilities.

There will also be plenty of scope to be involved in other projects and make your mark on Hinckley and Bosworth creating opportunities which help create high-quality jobs and ensure economic prosperity.

The Council has been awarded £3 million in total from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Rural England Prosperity Fund and the post holder will be key to ensuring the funds ongoing delivery including the monitoring and evaluation. The council is also developing ambitious plans for the regeneration of Hinckley Town Centre and already runs a successful Heritage Action Zone (HAZ) and supports the Business Improvement District, which is in its third term.

Working in partnership is seen as key to continuing the economic recovery of the borough so you must be good at establishing and maximising returns from such relationships.  You will need to have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification, experience of economic development and possess excellent communication, advisory and project management skills.
